SEDA College SA believes it is important for our students to develop employability skills during their time in the program. Through Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) students are given the opportunity to work in a range of organisations and experience different work roles. We have a team of students who are interested in sports journalism and are contributing to our student-led blog as part of their SWL. See below for all of the latest News & Events!

Boys Knockout Grand Final

On Wednesday, the AFL cluster classes travelled to the Woodville West Torrens Football Club to watch the SEDA boys play their knockout team’s grand-final match against St Mark’s College.

Matilda Volunteer Opportunity

Adelaide Oval held a friendly match between the Matildas and China on Friday, May 31st. Ten students from SEDA College were fortunate to be able to assist with setup and attend the match.

Reconciliation Week

On Monday of Week 4, Term 2, we joined together in clusters to acknowledge Reconciliation Week, exploring a range of activities and learning sessions.

On April 3rd we had Tayla Williams come to Glandore to run fitness testing with the Netball class for The Coach project.

STEM Day with the Adelaide Crows

On the Wednesday of Week 9, Term 1, our North Adelaide AFL class visited the Adelaide Crows Football Club in West Lakes for a STEM experience.

International Women's Day '24

Ending week 7, female students and staff from all SEDA College SA campuses travelled to the State Basketball Centre to celebrate International Women’s Day, joined by students and staff from other high schools too.

Netball Induction - Day 1

Netball SA (NSA) invited the Glandore Netball students of 2024 to an induction day at Netball SA Stadium to teach the expected values, standards and the code of conduct that the students need to follow.

Sir Doug Nicholls Round Curtain Raiser Reconciliation Cup

On Thursday the 29th of May, the AFL students competed in the Sir Doug Nicholls Round Curtain Raiser as part of the Reconciliation Cup against Tjindu Foundation at Adelaide Oval.

SEDA and SAASTA Basketball Academy met at St Clair Recreational Centre to play a friendly basketball game against one another in celebration of Reconciliation Week.

On Wednesday May 17th saw the arrival of the much anticipated Statewide School Futsal Finals held at St Clair Recreation Centre.

Fitness Improvement Task

The Mitchell Park basketball class students picked an area they thought is a weak point in their sporting skills and make an 8 week training program to improve on it.

Encouragement was seen in all different ways, from on the court, to off the court, it was a great way to get closer to each other and bond as a class.

The Mitchell Park BSA class participated in a community 3x3 Basketball carnival on the 17th of March at the Morphett Vale Rec Center.

Boys State Basketball Finals

The game ended with the SEDA boys winning by just 4 points. The team was awarded for their efforts with state title medals taking home the win!

Students spent the day visiting UniSA for a Sports and Recreation clinic and campus tour, followed up by a walk along to the top of Adelaide Oval.

All SEDA North classes gathered at the BSA Class campus – St Clair Recreation Center and students prepared for a touch football carnival.

The 2022 Formal was a huge highlight of the year and a great way to ease the stress off students and teachers after the first half of the year.
