Principal's Welcome

As the Principal at SEDA College (SA), I am excited to be able to offer a unique program that engages, educates, and empowers young people through their passion for sport.

At SEDA College (SA), we change a student’s life by developing real-world skills that will prepare them for a successful future, as they move into either further study or employment.

Students at SEDA College (SA) develop a tailored career plan, undertake industry placements and community project work because this authentically develops their work-readiness skills and enhances their awareness of self and others. Simultaneously, all students work to achieve their SACE using an applied learning pedagogy where hands-on learning happens both inside and outside of the classroom. Through this, students have a deeper connection to their education, resulting in enhanced engagement levels and better outcomes.

The SEDA model places students and their interests at the forefront of their senior secondary education. We do this based upon strong relationships, a practical connection to industry and a highly individualised approach to teaching and learning.

Together, through our leading sport industry partnerships we provide a unique and quality learning environment that is underpinned by our core values of integrity, professionalism, innovation and collaboration.

Our ‘one teacher, one classroom’ model allows our teachers and their support staff to grow strong relationships with every student. Our staff are specifically recruited for their capacity to build healthy and respectful relationships with students. Using a mentoring approach, teachers and support staff walk alongside and share the individual journey of each student as our students grow their core capabilities in teamwork and communicating effectively.
