Adelaide Oval held a friendly match between the Matildas and China on Friday, May 31st.

Ten students from SEDA College were incredibly fortunate to be able to assist with setup and attend the match with their national team. The students showed up at the stadium hours before the game started in order to help the marketing team set up their activation. 7,200 “taco” poster cards were prepared by all of the students and would be distributed before kickoff. The students gave those attending the game instructions on how to use the “tacos” and students stood at the end of each section to demonstrate what to do when MC, Jarrod Walsh announced for fans to hold their poster cards up. It was great to see what goes in behind the scenes before a game.

Each of the students was given Matilda’s beanies and a banner to display/wear during the game to show their support of the wonderful women’s team. During the pre-game ritual, two additional SEDA students also got the chance to lead the children onto the field.
