Game 3 – Kapunda HS (10/30) defeated by SEDA College SA (2/32) by 8 wickets. 

We were all set for the Grand Final. After doing laps of the CBD trying to find parks, we got to AHS Oval 2, and won the toss, bowling first for the first time in our tournament. 

Will and Keaton were given the opening duties with the ball and were ruthless from the start. Will snared the first wicket which was beautifully taken by Harry W at 2nd slip. Keaton was dominant from the other end, producing some absolute gems, knocking over 3 of Kapunda’s key batters.

Will continued his ferocious pace and was on a hattrick after 2 catches from Ryan in the gully. Both openers finished with 3/7 and 3/10 respectively, and we had Kapunda 6 for 18!

Enter Aden’s inspirational spell, 2/5 from 2, including catches from Ben and Harry W. Ben chipped in with 1/0 from 2, including another ridiculous slips catch from Harry W (again!). Kapunda was dismissed for a remarkable 30 runs after Keaton’s run out. Paddy finished with 0/1 from 1 ball. 

With the bat, we lost an early wicket, but Mitch (top scored 18) and Isaac (8 not out) guided us to an easy chase, as we got the score 2 wickets down. Our co-captain Sam fittingly hit the winning runs with a boundary, and the flag was ours. 

Some more silverware for SEDA! Record: 3-0 and champions.
